Sorry you just can't. That is not how switchable graphics works. There is a video "system" consisting of both "cards" and they are not separable.

Thanks for the fast response. Is there at least a way to use the nvidia gtx 960m as a default graphics card? Because right now the intel one is the prechoice to use even for roaming around the internet.

Yes do you have the nVidia Control Panel app available in your system menu in the lower right corner of the desktop?

This is from Lenovo but the procedure is the same on yours. I just got an Omen with Intel/nVidia switchable and did this and now stuff like google earth and a gaming benchmark program I have installed will always run with the nVidia. Installed games can be set up the same way.

There is a little colored square icon you can insert in the toolbar that will turn colors when the nVidia is activated and will list which programs are running with the nVidia:

Again, Acer but it works the same on an HP.

Post back if you have more questions. I don;t have my Omen but could add some screenshots if you still have trouble with it. The Intel is plenty powerful enough for internet surfing, streaming, etc. You only need the nVidia when there is 3D content to render. If you use google Earth for example set it to run in Open GL mode not Direct X mode so it runs from the nVidia card and you will get much faster rendering of street views and such.
