Was thinking of switching 5400RPM for SSD because i feel its way too slow. Wondering if I have to deactivate my Windows 10 Key before I do a fresh start?

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about your Win10 activation question and wanted to help.
In Win10, the product key is stored in the UEFI firmware of the motherboard. Since you're not changing that, you're not going to risk deactivating it.
Furthermore, the activation key is stored on the MS Activation servers, and that information is NOT tied to the HDD or SDD that you are using. I can confirm this because once I got Win10 working the way I wanted, I migrated it from an HDD to an SDD and nothing changed -- except the performance got a lot better!
Good Luck
