HP Pavilion 15 AU113TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Pavilion 15 AU113TX came with 2 TD HDD and 16 GB RAM, I wanted to know if it has M2 SSD Slot where I can install SSD while keeping built-in HDD as it is. Product manual available here says that Pavilion laptops do have M2 SSD slot. Thanks for help!

Hey there! @kushalpandya

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!

I understand you need to know whether there is an M.2 slot on your laptop.

I checked the specifications of your laptop and found there is no option to install M.2 SSD on your laptop.

There are certain models of Pavilion 15 laptops which went with M.2 slot where they have the option to install M.2 SSD.

Since your laptop went with SATA drive you don't have the option to upgrade to M.2 SSD.

Please keep me updated!

Have a great day! 🙂

Hi,

Can you please have a look at http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Does-AU116TX-contain-M2-SSD-slo...

I think AU113TX and AU116TX share the same motherboard configuration. HP support exectuive on the above question says M.2 SSD is supported on the machine. I think there is some confusion here. Can you check please?

Hi! @ankurtr, thanks for the response.

Thanks for pointing me out here. I have rechecked the specifications of your laptop.

And found that this laptop does support M.2 SSD.

Internal card expansion One M.2 slot for WLAN One M.2 slot for SSD

Please refer maintenance and service guide for your laptop more information: http://hp.care/2eG0WKI

Hope this helps!

Cheers! 🙂

Are we can install internal SSD by replacing the 2TB HDD? Is this helpful to improve performance and is SSD to support my laptop.

Please suggest which SSD is compatible with my LAPTOP better performance.
