My laptop drivers page gives a msata driver, but i cant figure where it physically goes. does this model come wih msata port? hp envy 14-2166se.

Hi,
From the Maintenance and Service Guide (page 2), there is an option to have mSATA drive:
Supports the following single solid-state drive configurations:
● 128-GB, mSATA
● 80-GB, mSATA
● 160-GB, SATA
But you need to buy the right part for it and looks like you have to throw out the HDD. Please check the book (page 56)

I think I replied a similar post few days ago: you simply can't add. Option: remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) and try to
(a) Replace HDD with SDD,
(b) Throw away the ODD and use a caddy to house old HDD
