Hello, my son has an Envy 3000 17-3D Laptop and the Video Graphics card has gone bad or unsodered from the Mother Board, is this fixable?

Anything is fixable for enough money. The only option is to replace the motherboard. That actually might not cost too much as long as you have somebody who can do the labor part for free. The laptop is old enough that good working motherboards will cost maybe $80-125 in the marketplace.

Let us know if you need help finding the part number and a place to buy the motherboard and install instructions.
