Hi,
I am just about to receive the Envy Touch Laptop (HP Envy 17t) but after the order, I found out that the battery is installed in the unit and not easily removable. I plan to have this laptop (as desktops) permanently plugged in the wall outlet.
What I did in the past, I have removed the battery, which is not an easy job in HP Envy 17t. Any suggestion on how to proceed to prolong this battery life without removing it.
Thanks

Hi,
I did post many times about this: chargers and batteries now are very smart, they know when to stop. I also posted: from my observations on around 200 laptops: batteries on laptops plug to AC in two years (on 24/24) are much better than same machines (yes same) which are plug-unplug from AC.
Regards.
