Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On startup, I receive a failure ID: 9SLCHG-988C42-MFPW3F-60ST03 indicating imminent failure of my hard drive with product id: 2LU94UA#ABA. On exiting, my laptop runs very well. What could be the problem with the hard disk and what steps must I take to take to resolve the issue?

I would certainly back up any files I didn't want to lose in case the hard drive fails.

 

There is nothing you can do other than to replace the existing NVMe drive with a new one, and as long as the drive is working, you can continue to use it.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the NVMe SSD removal and replacement procedure:

You can reinstall Windows on the new drive by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below:

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page:
