The Fingerprint reader is NOT listed in Biometric Devices/Device Manager on my HP Envy TouchSmart 15, with the WIN10 free upgrade.

MS Hello is NOT available in my WIN10 free upgrade.

I've tried the Synaptics driver - failed.

I've tried the Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver (sp63418.exe) - failed.

I've tried the Synaptics driver - failed.

I've tried the Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver (SP64970.exe) - failed.

Please help.

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting issues with the fingerprint reader.

 

Follow the below steps to fix this issue 

Update the BIOS and Chipset drivers from this link:- Click here

 

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.
