Product: Dv7 6052ea
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Looking to replace the HDD, I believe the current 1tb drive I have is 7mm (according to a tape measure doh) but can it take a 9.5mm drive? I can't seem to find the specs anywhere! I have more experience with desktop machines so unfortunately laptop hardware is pretty new to me so I apologise if this is an obvious question

For HDD (primary and secundary), see in pages 56 to 59, in the Maintenance Manual, indicated in the upper address.

In the first option ...

  • Part No: 638974-001
  • Description: 1TB SATA hard drive 12.7MM - 5,400 RPM
  • Rohs: COMPLY_2.04

The Brands can be WD (Western Digital), Seagate, etc ...

 

If you select the option's, write for indicate the height of HDD.
