Hello,
I'd like to buy this beautiful laptop, but I want to be sure, I can max it's params.
Ii has 12 Gb of RAM and it is maximum, I could buy (top params for aq0xx model ?).
Manual says:
Two SODIMM slots, non-accessible/non-upgradeable
Support for DDR4 2133 dual channel
Support for up to 16-GB maximum system memory in the following configurations
● 16384-MB: (8192-MB × 2)
● 12288-MB: (8192-MB + 4096-MB)
..etc
Thats mean I cant updrage to 16 Gb? Even if I will disassemble laptop and lose warranty?
Next. Hard drives. As I understand, it has 128 M.2 SSD and 1 Tb HDD.
Manual says:
Support for all 1P, 7.0-mm and 2P, 9.5-mm, SATA, 2.5-in hard drives
Support for Accelerometer hard drive protection
Support for the following hard drives:
● 2-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA, 9.5-mm hard drive
● 1-TB, 7200-rpm, SATA, 9.5-mm hard drive
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA, 9.5-mm hard drive
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, SATA, 8-GB hybrid, 9.5-mm hard drive
Support for the following solid-state drives:
● 256-MB, M2.2280, SATA-3, solid-state drive supporting triple-level cell (TLC)
● 256-MB, M2.2280, solid-state drive supporting TLC
Can I upgrade M.2 SSD? Can I switch HDD to 2.5 SSD? Is there maximum supported size of SSD? Will upgrade void the warranty?

Hi,
My suggestion: buy the top available specs for the series now because future upgrades would be very hard
(a) You can't upgrade yourself, those works are for HP authorized service provider parts. This implies void warranty,
(b) More expensive to pay for upgrades even you don't care about warranty.
Regards.

Thank you, Provost.
Sadly, but it's top specs. It is the most comfortable laptop for me (x360, 4K, touch, 15", and some others). If I could buy something other - I will, but I cant because of lack of such devices(models) in Russia.
I have upgraded ram and ssd on many laptops and it will not be a problem. But only if is supported by motherboard. So, could you please tell, if is theoretically possible? 🙂
