Hello, I bought an HP Envy x360 for my small business about 18 months ago, so the warranty has expired. Through normal use (opening and closing it, no stoppage or any other incidents) something suddenly came loose internally in the lower left corner, behind the screen. It’s now affecting the left hinge, and the screen is coming off the casing, it’s impossible to close. I called support and they gave me a quote of $341 to repair. This is utterly ridiculous, and I see that this is a known problem with this laptop series. Will HP repair this without charging hundreds of dollars for a serious design flaw they are aware of??? I can’t even use the laptop right now because it keeps breaking and every time I touch it, it hemorrhages out tiny shards of plastic from that power left area behind the screen.
