Tried to clean my HP NOTEBOOK 17-x005no keyboard with 70% medical alcohol.
Managed to spill it on the motherboard. Now the keyboard no longer functions (pressed key doesn't match the letter) and the sounds are also garbled. Obviously some kind of short circuit. Anything to be done? Which parts (if any) to replace? SSD is OK and memory tests OK. Monitor also working OK.

If only the keyboard connections got shorted and an external keyboard works OK for you, and you can live with that, then there is nothing immediate you need to do.
But anything else requires complete tear down and disassembly -- which is going to cost a fortune to have done.
HP will not do this work for you, even if the laptop is still under warranty, because this kind of problem falls under the category of "accidental damage" -- and that is not covered by the warranty.
