HP Pavilion 15 Support for VT-x

I'm looking for a laptop to run Android Studio. The emulator requires VT-x support to be usable. The HP Pavilion 15-au072sa has an  Intel Core i3-6100U processor which supports Virtualization Technology (VT-x). However Intel notes that this requires to be supported by the laptop, specifically but not limited to BIOS support.

Can anyone confirm that this laptop has such support? If it doesn't, cany anyone suggest an HP laptop at a reasonable price that does?

Hello,

After going to BIOS using F10 key. Login as Administrator

Under the System Configuration Tab. Check if there is Vitualization technology listed.

Enable it ,if it is Disabled.

Thank you for the reply but it doesn't address the question I asked. I wanted to know which HP models supported VT-x in the BIOS in order to decide which to get, not how to turn it on in the BIOS.

Thank you for your reply.

It hard to say which models support Virtualization when it comes to Consumer Models, ie Pavilion, Presario as they have numerous models in the market. Some of them might have and some might not.

However majority of Buisness Class Models like Probooks and Elitebooks do support Virtualization by default. 

I recommend you to try those.

Thanks, GBL84. That's helpful. I wasn't looking to spend a lot as I have a desktop for my main development, but wanted my laptop to provide the capability when out and about. I took the plunge anyway with a Pavilion X360 and the feature is there in the BIOS, so that will do me for now.
