HP Pavilion DV6235(US)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I have a HP Pavilion DV6235(US) Laptop  PC. I plan on upgrading the HD to a larger "1TB Seagate Firecuda 2.5"  SSHD. Will I run into any issues doing so, also what's all needed to finalize this swap?

Should not run into a problem. You need to make some kind of recovery media or backup to put software on the new drive, but otherwise just put it physically in the place where the old hard drive is, boot up and install your software to it.

Seems like a lot of investment into very old hardware. Still it should make it faster.

Thanks...

What HD do you recomend? My current HD crapped out on me, i also heard that the 500gb drives have issues, is this true?

I found the Seagate 1TB SSHD for $69, sorta the same price range as the 240GB SSD, but more space and I hope longevity.

No at bottom it is still a spinning mechanical hard drive so the SSD will last longer. I am not a big fan of SSHDs. Before I got one of those I would just get a Seagate or WD Black 7200 rpm hard drive with a 16 or 32 meg cache. An SSD will work on that but keep in mind it is a SATA-I interface so can only be so fast.

What would you say is a good SSD brand, in terms of low priced, quality, speed, & longevity?

HP Recommended

They vary a lot in price. OCZ, Samsung, Crucial, Transcend, Kingston, Corsair, all good.

Samsung 850 Evo is the best. Stay away from the nonames like Adata...

Watch the sites...amazon, newegg, frys.com for a week or so and grab a low price is all I can say.
