I would like to replace the existing 1TB HDD, or add an SSD to my:
Pavilion 15t laptop
Product number: M7H64AV
I have found the following, which tells me it is difficult to access the HDD (assuming it applies to my laptop):
I have also found this, which seems to indicate that I can replace the HDD with an SSD, but also mentions M.2:
Q1. I would like to confirm the requirements for replacement of the HDD with SSD:
SATA 3 ?
9.5 mm thick
Q2a. Does this laptop have an M.2 SSD port/slot?
Q2b. If so, what physical size and other requirements are needed?
Q2c. If M.2 exists, can it be used to add an SSD while keeping the existing HDD?
Let me know what additional information is required.
Thanks for any help,
JP

Hi,
Have you read the manual on the first link ?
1. You can use SATA 3 and 7mm SSD. You can replace 1TB HDD with 1TB or larger (capacity) SSD.
2. No, therefore all a, b, c are n/a
Regards.

Thank you.
Yes, I read the manual, but I didnt notice the details on the drive height, but you're correct that it is in there.
I mentioned the M.2 possibility because it was mentioned in the 2nd link I posted (from the HP support forum) from an HP Expert reply.
