Hp envy 17t-j000 quad edition
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Performed a hard drive test on my hp envy 17t-j000 quad edition notebook with windows 8 OS (out of warranty) and the result says hard drive optimized dts check - not available. What does it mean and how can I resolve this?

For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this.

 

  • Did this happen after a windows or software update?
  • Was there a power outage before this occurred?

 

To put it simply the hard drive seems to be on its last legs and may have run its course.
