I purchased the notebook on 20th February 2017, but the warranty expiry date is shown as 20th February, 2017.

Then I recommend you call HP support for the country you live in at the link below, and verbally discuss the matter with a customer services rep.

In the USA/Canada, this is the phone number...1 800-474-6836.

 

Stay on the line until the voice messaging system states in substance, 'if you can't connect to the internet, stay on the line to speak with a customer services representative.'

Initiate a warranty dispute claim at the link below.

I had to do the same thing, and they fixed the warranty start and end dates within 3 business days.

The warranty check failed with the following message:

 

HP was unable to find a match based on the information provided
One or more of the following pieces of information you submitted is incorrect. Please review this information and correct any errors.
Country of purchase: Verify that your product was purchased in the country selected
Serial Number: Verify that your serial number is entered correctly
Product Number: Verify that your product number is entered correctly

 

The information was gathered using the identify now button and it is all correct.

Thanks for your help.

 

I am advised that the group  I bought the notebook from (DSG comprising Dixons, Currys and PC World) also buy the full warranty and support entitlement. Their Knowhow team will supply technical support which is why the HP warranty is showing as expired.
