HP Laptop 15-bs1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought a pc and it has an i3 processor. My laptop has an i5 and so I want to take the i5 and put it in the pc and put the i3 in my laptop. However, I don't know if my CPU is soldered onto my motherboard in my laptop. Can anyone help please?

My laptop is       HP Laptop 15-bs1xx     and the specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz

4gb RAM

1tb Hard drive

this is according to HP support assistant and task manager.

Hi:

Yes, the processor is an integral part of the motherboard, and the only way to upgrade it would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

It would be very expensive to perform such an upgrade if you could even find the motherboard part you needed.
