Is my laptop compatible with backlit keyboards?

Product Name: HP Pavilion 15-ab203tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
MotherBoardnModel : 80A4

Hi ,

I am looking to see if i can replace the keyboard on my laptop to a backlit version.

Does anyone know for sure if this model of laptop can be upgraded to a backlit keyboard and if you know the part number?

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, but see page 23 and forward. There are backlit and non-backlit keyboard options but HP only sells it as part of a whole top cover.

What country do you live in and perhaps we can help you find just the keyboard but installing it in your top cover is not easy and HP provides no instructions. You could source the whole top cover from HP but it is going to be expensive and a bit involved to install.
