HP Pavilion 15t-n200
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My laptop is unusable.

Ran HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI

Hard Drive Quick Test Results:
HD Smart check: PASSED
HD Short DST check: FAILED
FAILURE ID: PU71WC-7378GB-MFPV6J-60SC03
PRODUCT ID: E9Z1BAV
Hard Drive 1

HELP, what does this FAILURE CODE mean, and what needs to be done to get the Laptop operational?

The hard drive is/has failed and needs to be replaced.  You'll need to remove the defective drive and install a new one, then reload the operating system via HP Recovery Media.  If your notebook is under the HP Warranty or a 3rd Party warranty, you can contact them directly for a replacement drive and media or repair option.

I was afraid that was what the code meant ... thanks so much for the confirmation.  By the way, I made a image of the hard drive before the failure.  Can you by chance recommend a website with instructions to replace the laptop drive and install an image?
