I started to face a new issue recently. The laptop shuts down automatically when the battery shows 80% availability. It doesn't get booted until I plug-in to charge.

I tried the options mentioned in the thread titled, "Laptop shuts down at 80% battery". But this is not helping.

Options tried:

1. update the BIOS from the below article 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp100501-101000/sp100871.exe

2. reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

 

Please help if someone has solution.
