Product: DV7t-7000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just have a 'mechanical question'.  The bezel on my DVD broked off and I am trying to find the p/n just for the bezel.  Not sure if the bezel is part of the DVD or part of the DV7 Laptop housing.

It's part of the DVD and HP does not sell the bezel by itself. I have seen them sold on eBay however.

They are asking as much for the bezel as you can buy a drive. Might try to find a non-working drive with bezel. If you need more help post back.

The reponse was very quick.  And pretty much answers the question about whether the bezel is part of the DVD drive or the DV7 laptop.   I never did find a bezel for sale on ebay, but the one that was in the reply got me instantly.  Must have not used the right search.  May make the guy an offer, will report back when I get one in hand.
