Max memory recognized

Laptop only came with 4GB of memory and I am trying to figure out what is the max amount of memory that can be installed and still be recognized.

You've get the module of exact configuration, speed, voltage as given in manual and which is on the other slot.

Crucial, Samsung, Hynix are good brands.

The chart on page 2-3 of this Manual shows you can take up to 16 gigs (2 x 8 gig) DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

Look for the "E2" (that is your processor type) at the top of the column.

The 16GB is what I was thinking but before I tore it apart I wanted to double check.  I already knew the memory details so it was just a matter of finding out if I could add more.
