This applies to you:

 

Supports up to 2 GB max on-board system memory (for models with E1-6010 processors)

 

"on-board" means the memory is soldered to the motherboard as is the processor...a very low-end configuration. Can you still take it back and get something else? 

 

Sorry but in many cases the retail seller does not fully understand what they are selling and people buy these low-end laptops only to be justifiably disappointed in their performance.
