I didn't realize that when I bought my HP Envy last winter (over $800) it didn't come with a DVD/CD player. I assumed all laptops came with them. If I'd known it didn't, I wouldn't have bought the laptop. Gaming and burning DVD's is a fun thing for me. How in the world can you download certain things to the laptop if there's no DVD/CD player?? I don't know a lot about computors but for me this is has been an epic disappointment... I'll never get my money's worth out of this laptop and I certainly cannot afford to replace it. Anything I can do about this?

Thank-you so much. I've found on Amazon an HP External Ultra Slim Multi-Format DVD/CD Writer 600S with a ton of great reviews. Only thing is you need to download a vlc DVD media player because he said 9 times out of 10 the computor is not configured to play DVD media. Sounds like that might be the case for most. Again, thanks so much for your help.
