I want to know if updating the F.16 BIOS on my laptop will fix the Bluetooth issue of the Intel Centrino 2230. I have switched out the old wireless Ralink adapter to take advantage of the 4.0 Bluetooth protocol found in the Centrino 2230. I am familiar with the procedures for updating BIOS. Why is it the F.16 BIOS version? I cannot find anything on the available version mentioning F.16 and am trying to verify the purpose.
The product number is A9Q27AV.

I figured it out. I have to press the button on my keyboard to turn on the Wifi thereby turning on Bluetooth. This was not apparent to me because I had used a Bluetooth dongle in the past. So the Bluetooth Icon would show once the drivers for the dongle were installed.

There are newer versions of BIOS for that model on the SUPPORT PAGE. The F.16 is not listed but all of the versions showing are rather old, but newer than F.16. Any reason you are asking just about that one? You can update to check support.

The Bluetooth issue is I am not able to find the Bluetooth icon so pairing cannot happen. I am looking through past forum posts about this, but I am getting hints it's either the BIOS will fix it or there is something else I am missing. I am not able to find it under device manager.
