Pavilion 15-au193sa / Z3D17EA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hey

I am ordering a new HP Pavillion 15-au193sa which has 8GB RAM. I have searched to try and find if this can be upgraded (say an additional 8GB slot) however cannot find this information.

If anyone can help clarify I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!

J

From the Manual:

Two SODIMM slots - customer non-accessible/non-upgradeable DDR4-2133 Dual Channel Support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4–2133) Supports up to 16GB max system memory

Manual

Specs say you have a single 8 gig DDR4-2133 module. See p. 35 of the Manual

You need one more of these:

8 GB 2133 MHz 1.2v DDR4 shared 820570-005

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Single-PC4-17000-SODIMM-260-Pin/dp/B015HQ9TGW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=...

The bottom cover is not real easy to remove: there is a rubber strip hiding the screws and it is very easy to stretch that strip out so it cannot be reused. Tecnically opening it up to add memory will put the warranty at risk.

Post back if you need any more help.

If you are happy with the help you received it is customary to mark the actual answer with information as the "Solution" rather than your thank you post, but you are welcome.
