Are the SSD drives faster or slower than the regular dfrives? Also does anyone know if you can install a second drive to this laptop that isn't SSD?

SSD is faster when compared to the regular HDD's. SSD's is the latest technology in the market and since it does not have any rotating spindles, chances of failure is significantly less.
