Product: hp pavilion dv6 6135dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a hp pavilion dv6 6135dx and it has a darker color and I want to replace that with a lighter color and I have found a hp pavilion dv6 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hp-Pavilion-dv-6-laptop-notebook-computer-/182482044588?hash=item2a7cc706ac:...) and it is a lighter color could I buy that color hand rest for my hp pavilion? or will it not work?

Sure the parts are interchangeable. So you want to take the silver top cover and replace yours with it and have a mixture of colors in the laptop? Part you need:

 

In steel gray finish 650802-001

 

Service Manual

 

See p. 74-77 for "how to".
