My name is Jeff, I own a 2000-299WM laptop. I know it's not newer but it still works great. Can I replace the keyboard with a backlit 1?

Hi,
No you can't just replace the keyboard, you need to replace the motherboard too (if available) because you need ports/connectors for all thos lights. And this will be a very expensive change.
