Hi @Gonzales70,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with the Star Wars Command Center driver not being compatible with your current operating system version, despite it being the same OS that came with the unit. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Compatibility: Ensure that the Star Wars Command Center driver you're downloading is compatible with your specific model of the HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook. Sometimes there are different versions of drivers for different hardware configurations or OS versions.
  • Update Windows: Make sure your Windows operating system is fully up to date. Sometimes compatibility issues can be resolved by installing the latest updates from Microsoft.
  • Check for Alternate Sources: Sometimes, drivers or software provided by HP may have issues. You can try looking for alternative sources for the Star Wars Command Center driver online, but be cautious and make sure you're downloading from a reputable source to avoid potential security risks.
  • Compatibility Mode: You could try installing the driver in compatibility mode. Right-click on the installer file, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for," then select an earlier version of Windows that the driver might be compatible with.
  • Driver Updates: Keep an eye on HP's website for any updates to the Star Wars Command Center driver. It's possible that HP may release a compatible version in the future.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the compatibility issue with the Star Wars Command Center driver on your HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
