Is there a way to add a sata or m.2/nvme ssd to my laptop?

Hi:

 

I believe that only the notebooks that came with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory have a M.2 slot.

 

NVMe SSD's were not supported in the model series.

 

You can always replace the 500 GB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

The performance would be exactly the same for a 2.5" SATA SSD or a M.2 SATA SSD.
