Hi,

I want to buy the following laptop: HP Notebook 15-ay011nr

So, I want to upgrade the build-in ssd to an Samsung evo 850 500GB ssd (2,5 inch).
I cant find on the internet what slot is used for the build-in one. I saw something about M2, but not sure

Can someone clarify me the right slots? 🙂

Thanks in advance.

Here is the Manual:

Manual

See p. 50. That shows replacement of the 2.5 inch drive. Page 55 shows an M.2 mSSD. However, the are some issues right now with HP Notebooks and trying to add an aftermarket M.2. I can get more specific if you like but right now the best advice is just to install a 2.5 inch SSD drive in place of the hard drive.
