Upgrade laptop for VR

I just bought Oculus Rift but I can't make it to work with this laptop. How can I upgrade the video card or which low budget (£300) external graphic card to buy. And after that will my laptop work with its processor? Or should I buy another laptop.

It's difficult and expensive to make a desktop that will run Oculus Rift, let alone a laptop. 

Oculus Rift

• Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 or better
• CPU: Intel Core i5 4590 or greater
• RAM: 8GB or more
• Video port: HDMI 1.3
• USB port: 2 USB 3.0 ports
• Windows 7 SP1 or newer

Your laptop is not even close and there is no external video card you can add with the ports available on your laptop. 

HP makes a few laptops with the necessary video power. The newest ones with the nVidea Geforce 10xx graphics will drive the OR. But ideally you might consider a desktop. Or a purpose built gaming laptop from a specialty maker like Sager
