I'm using my notebook for nearly 5 to 6 hours per day on a desk. Since I'm running it constantly for 2-3 hours, can I remove the battery from the device so that the heat generated from the processor does not affect the battery life?

Hi,
It is up to your situation actually. If no power outage then you will be ok BUT if power outage suddenly your machine could be dead in the water.
