Dear all,

 

Realised that my DV7-4183CL has an empty HDD slot 🙂 Can you please suggest what tech config HDD should I add? Thanks in advance.

HP Recommended

It will take any 2.5 inch wide SATA laptop hard drive. The real question is how much space do you want to add and what is your budget? The second hard drive will not be bootable so it is purely a place to store files. 500 gig drives are not expensive and 500 gigs is a ton of space for music, pictures, even movies. 

 

You are going to need a second hard drive caddy and connector:
