Your Service Manual:
Supports up to 8 GB of system memory
4 GB PC3 10600 1333 MHz shared 621569-001
You have 3 gigs; a 2 gig and a 1 gig. To get 8 gigs you have to discard the existing modules and install 2 x 4 gig.

No that module is one that is specifically known NOT to work even though Kingston specifies it for your model. That is high density (4 black memory blocks on each side) and you need low density (8 black blocks). The laptops with the 1st gen Intel Core processors, like yours, are known to be the most finicky on memory compatibility.
