HP Pavilion 15 G0X67AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There has been a recent recall of the lithium batteries for the HP laptop computers.  Mine was purchased in the time frame they said and it is a Pavilion.  How do I locate the battery in this computer to see if it is one that has been recalled?   I know on the under side of the computer there are two slide tabs, but after that I don't know what to do see the battery.  Thanks for any help.  I just want to make sure the battery is safe.

Hi:

Consult your PC's Maintenance and Service Guide, chapter 5, page 76 for how to remove the battery.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04402649

Now, there is also a way to automatically check to see if your battery is affected by the recall.

See this link below...Then you don't even need to remove it to check.  Download and run the utility listed toward the bottom of the page.  You may also have to install those other packages referenced before you run the battery check utility.

Thank you for your response.  I did the validation check without having to get to the battery.  It showed that mine is not one to be recalled.  Thank you again for your help.  I apologize for not replying sooner.
