2 days ago my laptop worked fine. Yesterday it took a very long time to boot abd once past the welcome screen windows didn't load. After about 20min it said windows was not responding and the program needed to close.
Today I was finally able to get it into diagnostic mode and got the following information.
Testing drive: 1
hard drive short DST check: failed
failure id: qbxw13-7st861-mfpwmf-60ra03
hard drive 1 - primary HDD bay*
component test: failed
It was bought 12/15. I had just run a full scan 3 days ago and everything was fine, and there are no viruses.

Hi @CharityO,
Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.
I understand that the laptop suddenly cannnot be booted up, and you got the error code "qbxw13-7st861-mfpwmf-60ra03" after hardware test.
It seems like that one of the hard drives needs to be replaced. Backup your personal files if possible. Contact HP phone support to arrange a repair since the laptop is still in the warranty.
