Hi @RODRIGUE001,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering some persistent issues with your HP Pavilion g6 laptop. The continuous blinking of the caps lock LED combined with a black screen typically indicates a hardware problem, often related to the system board or the CPU.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Perform a hard reset: Sometimes, performing a hard reset can resolve issues with laptops. To do this, disconnect the laptop from any power source, remove the battery if possible, and then press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. This will drain any residual power from the system. Then reconnect the power source and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Check for loose connections: Make sure that all internal connections, such as those for the RAM and hard drive, are secure. If any components have become loose, reseat them properly.
  • Test the RAM: Faulty RAM can cause startup issues. Try removing and reinserting the RAM modules one at a time to see if that resolves the problem. You can also try using known good RAM if available.
  • Check for overheating: Overheating can cause laptops to shut down or fail to boot properly. Make sure the laptop's cooling system, including the fan and heat sinks, is clean and free of dust. If necessary, use compressed air to clean out any dust buildup.
  • Connect an external monitor: Connect an external monitor to the laptop to see if you get any display output. If you do, it could indicate a problem with the laptop's built-in display or display cable.

Given that you've already tried resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and that the issue persists, it's possible that the problem lies elsewhere in the hardware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
