I am trying to remove the harddrive.  i removed the battery.  I loosened the screws on the l shaped piece.  It will not move.

any advice? thank you

That access plate on the bottom can seem stuck in there and you have to start the removal at the top. Pay attention to how the guy in the video does it. Ignore the fact that the video refers to a different model...the steps are the same on yours. 

 

Do you need help finding a replacement hard drive or with software recovery?

Not sure what a Pavilion 9 series is. Can you provide the exact model number or Product number and we can get you the right Manual. Should be a label inside the battery bay with the model number or tap esc + fn to get the system information which will have the Product number.

If your laptop crashes and you need your data back, removing the hard drive is very simple. Follow the instructions
