Specs say 4 gigs max but from experience we know 8 gigs will work. I had one in that model series back in 2009 and it ran 8 gigs. Kind of a moot point since 8 gigs now costs too much to be a viable option. So 4 gigs of DDR2 is the maximum memory, as a practical matter.

Hi,
4th manual on the following link will tell you all
It says
Supports up to 4096 MB system memory
● 4096-MB total system memory (2048 MB × 2, dual-channel)
● 3072-MB total system memory (2048 MB × 1 + 1024 × 1)
● 2048-MB total system memory (1024 MB × 2, dual-channel)
● 2048-MB total system memory (2048 MB × 1)
● 1024-MB total system memory (512 MB × 2, dual-channel)
● 1024-MB total system
Regards.

It is 8 gigs but its DDR2 which is gonna cost well over $100US for a pair of 4 gig modules.
The laptop is probably not worth that much and the improvement over 4 gigs will not be very noticeable.
