Need the link for the service manual for a Pavallon 17-ab292ms laptop.

So far it's a beast, love it. But I want to plan possible future upgrades for Memory and SSD/HD, but expect future software bloat and finances to require improvement rather than replacement...

It Iooks like this unit lacks a Memory service/upgrade door, so I am left wondering if the mem chips are soldered or slotted.

A friend has a sister model 17" unit with a Mem door, so would there be a com[atable base panel with one available? Ya know if I have to take the back off why not fix that if I can.

I also have a G6 and a Sammy 850 on the shelf that could go together, get the # and specs to you soon, but like ya experts I get busy too. Too many ladies, flesh and electronic demanding my time. So no hurry, no worry, and thanks in advance.

Yup. has 1 4gig, 1 8gig right now to get 12gig, I suspect there may be a speed whammy with such a mismatch.

I get quality used parts all of the time, from very old to near new. I'm a pack/swap rat.

Tnks. 2 Replies and now I got all the info I need for the new girl. Get back 2U later with  the G6 #s, hope to use on hand hardware with it. Thank Prof 4 me 2.

Personally for LT I only recomend HP, I'm not going to name names but (P5 era) several other brands had far higher fail rates when I ITd, less time set up also. I also suspected 16G, but worried it was fixed/soldered like so many 2 in 1s are. 

Basically, I expect without a replacement back panel with door, doing the upgrades both at the same

time. Max both so as make it 16gig, 2T + 2T. I expect prices to dip down signifigantly over the summer...

Then I should get em now and watch/read/archive em. Remember Mike Zeleski and his Faq on installing a new Hd from the BBS to newsgroup era that covered MFM, RLL, and then IDE drives. That was Dad and Myself of M&M computer. Glad too see that the geek 2 geek helping hand spirit survives still.
