Hello everyone. I have an hp pavilion 6910us that finally died on me. The hard drive decided to die on me. I am planning on upgrading to windows 7 but, am having trouble finding drivers for it. I know this laptop will be compatable because it has 4 gb of ram (4gb but 1gb is used for video) and the processor is 2.0 gigahertz, which is ample for windows 7. I just need to little help locating drivers for 7.
Also, is there a bios update I will need to install for 7? Will this computer be compatiable with 10? are there drivers for 10?

Hi,
No, ONLY drivers for Vista:
But many users successfully upgraded to Windows 7, I don't know about Windows 10.
After installing Windows 7, you have to run Windows 7 updates few times and it will find drivers for you. At the end, machine may miss one or two, please post back and our friends will help you.
Regards.

Thanks Banhien. That is what I am worried about. All the message board posts I have found end with failure when windows 10 is introduced to the dv6 models. I am willing to upgrade to windows 7 as vista is already on the chopping block but, how much time will I have before the system is forced into windows 10.
Thank you for your input.
