hi,

 

I have a pavilion G6-1065ej.

im running win 7 64-bit. Currently have 4gb ram in only one slot.

what is the max ram capacity for this notebook ? can i add another identical 4gb ram card to the other slot?

 

I tried reading the manual, It says 8gb max, but not descrive such configuration.

Yeah the Manual sometimes does not make complete sense. What they are actually saying on p. 3 is it can take up to 8 gigs (4 + 4) but it was only sold with up to 6 gigs (4 + 2). It can actually take up to 8 gigs in 2 x 4 gig modules. You need DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM
