Hey @Dawndi85,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that your HP Pavilion dv6000 CTO Notebook PC is not charging. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the notebook is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, this document outlines how to troubleshoot charging issues with your notebook.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you resolve your issues or reach some resolution, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

Alright, I am going to need more information. Please let me know if the notebook powers on. If it does, do you see any error messages, or lights, or if the notebook makes any noises. Once I know more I will be better able to assist you.

Thank You..
Can you help me choose a good refurbished tower for desktop computer? I need one that burns cds and dvds

You're welcome. I'm glad to help.

I wouldn't be able to suggest any particular models for a replacement. If you contact HP Shopping they can certainly assist you with that. After selecting a few drop down boxes you will find how to contact phone or chat support.
