Hi,
Try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, download and install the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp67001-67500/sp67280.exe

Hi, I just wanted to reply that I did sthe steps as lined out and I am still getting the error message.
I tried to look for residual entries in the registry for prior installations, thinking it would be the culprit, but nothing manifested.
Thanks!
Do I really need this Drive Guard software?

Hi David!
I'm not sure what the difference is between the link posted by the other responder to this question and the one you posted (they both look to be the same); but, when I did the steps and used the link published in your post it all worked! The other 'posters' link seemed to have a bit of corruption to it, because when I used it, the error message didn't go away; but, it's gone now!
Thanks!
RP
