Hi:

First, you need to disable the fast startup option in the power menu.  See this link for how to do that.

You need to do this, or you will only get a black screen when you boot into Windows on the 6910p's with the amd graphics adapter, after you install the graphics driver.

https://www.221btech.com/windows/turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10/

Then restart the PC.

You will have to manually install the W7 graphics driver as follows...

Download and save, but do not run the AMD graphics driver.

This package provides the video driver and control panel for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46004.exe

Download and install this free file utility.  The 2nd link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

http://www.7-zip.org/

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the amd graphics driver you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp46004).

Once that is done, go to the device manager, click to expand the graphics adapters device manager category.

Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Click on Have Disk and browse to the sp46004 driver folder 7-Zip created\Packages\Drivers\Display\LH6A_INF\CH_84776, select the ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 graphic adapter from the list, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC.

legend!! my graphics were fuzzy and uncrisp before. now they are perfect! so much clearer!

i bought the laptop from a shop on ebay and told em i needed it on win 10 plus. i gather they have just shoved any old drivers on. there are a few things that i presume need configuring as it looks like they have just done what they needed to get the sale haha.

Glad to have been of assistance.

If you are missing any other drivers, just let me know.

In the device manager, if you are missing any drivers the devices will be listed under an Other Devices category and they will have little triangles with ! marks inside the triangles.

ohhhh. i have 5 of them

List their names, and I will post the links to the drivers you need.
