HP Pavilion 17-g101nu
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just bought a new HP Pavilion 17-g101nu and tried to install Win7 via USB Drive.

While installing there were no drives to sellect as where the OS to be installed.

What can I do?

I found people on the internet use some kind of a CD that has the Notebook's drivers burned and then install them while on the proccess of the Windows' installation. Will that also work?

Also I haven't found any settings in BIOS about SATA formats, and so on.

Thank's for reading.  🙂

(I have no idea if this is the right place to ask, but just bought this laptop with only just DOS.)

Hi:

First you have to make sure that you have gone into the BIOS and enabled legacy mode, which should disable secure boot.

Then see if the reply marked solved in the link below allows you to install W7 from your USB flash drive.

Your notebook has the same chipset and 6th gen processor series as the one referenced in the post.

If what you are asking, and it seems that you are in the text of the post - the drivers for Windows 7 install is discussed in THIS THREAD, as someone else asked the same thing.
