Hi there @b4dm4n,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! Here at the forums you will find suggestions and solutions to help with the blinking LEDs that you see on your Notebook. I read your post and wanted to lend a helping hand.
Did you receive any error messages?
If you take the USB out and try to start your Notebook normally what happens now?
How many times do the blinking LED lights blink in a sequence? Please refer to the document for additional help in determining the sequence.
If your Notebook has already been switched over to Ubuntu, the drivers you would be looking for would be found within the Linux Support Scope. Linux Support for any distribution (Fedora, Ubuntu, Red Hat etc...) is only supported through http://hplip.sourceforge.net/.
Here is a link called Frequently Asked Questions About Linux (FAQs).
If you feel this post has helped you, could help others joining in and looking for a solution or you just want to say cheers, please click the Accept as Solution button and/or the Thumbs Up.
Let me know how this goes. If you require further assistance, I would be more than happy to continue to help!
Have a great day!
I work on behalf of HP
